IMPACT

Bringing Advanced Lifesaving Care to Our Community

USA Health Providence Hospital is launching an ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation) program—a game-changing advancement in life support technology. ECMO provides critical, life-saving support for patients facing severe heart and lung failure, giving them a second chance when all other options have been exhausted.

USA Health Providence Hospital

What is ECMO?
ECMO is an advanced system that temporarily takes over heart and lung function, ensuring that oxygen reaches vital organs. It is used for patients recovering from heart attacks, pneumonia, sepsis, pulmonary embolism, anaphylaxis, respiratory failure, trauma, influenza and so much more. This technology is often the bridge to recovery, transplantation, or other medical interventions.

Why It Matters
Currently, patients in our region often have to be transferred long distances for ECMO treatment. By bringing ECMO to Providence Hospital, we are ensuring local access to this life-saving technology, reducing wait times and improving survival rates for critically ill patients in our community.

Building a Strong Foundation for Care
Creating a top-tier ECMO program requires highly trained medical teams, specialized equipment, and a well-coordinated system. Our dedicated team is working tirelessly to ensure that every aspect of this program—from expert physicians to state-of-the-art technology—is in place to serve our community with excellence.

How You Can Help
You can play a vital role in bringing life-saving ECMO technology to our community by supporting the inaugural Home & Garden Show—a celebration of antiques, design, and inspired living. This premier event raises essential funds to establish and sustain the ECMO program at Providence Hospital.
By sponsoring, exhibiting, or attending, you are directly contributing to critical care in our region.
